Rakesh – Associate Director
Rakesh is an emerging talent in the Tamil film industry, currently making his mark as an associate director. Born and raised in Chennai, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Jain College, Meenambakkam. Before entering the world of cinema, Rakesh worked in the IT sector. However, feeling unfulfilled in that line of work, he decided to pursue his true passion—filmmaking.
Like many aspiring filmmakers, Rakesh faced several hurdles in the beginning. He initially attempted to join the prestigious MGR Film Institute but was unable to secure admission. Undeterred, he explored opportunities through social media platforms. Though his first opportunity didn’t pan out as expected, he remained persistent.
His breakthrough came when he connected with Chandru—an assistant to director Sam Anton—via Facebook. Rakesh began working alongside Chandru and contributed to several film projects. Also Jama Director Pari Ilavazhahan and Dharma Contributed well eventually, he joined with Pari in Jama as an associate director, gaining valuable experience in the process.
Now, Rakesh is actively developing his own film projects. With determination, industry experience, and a clear creative vision, he is poised for a promising future in the world of cinema.
