From Software Engineer to Film PRO: The Dual Journey of Vaisakh
Born in Aluva, Mr. Vaisakh C Vadakkeveedu’s professional journey is an interesting blend of technology and film publicity. His first exposure came through digital publicity work for the films Thappana and Run Baby Run. These projects marked the beginning of a shift in how movies were promoted online, and he was part of that early transition. Over the years, his consistent involvement in digital campaigns helped him understand audience behaviour, publicity strategies and the evolving role of online media in film promotion.

He was also actively writing articles, which further strengthened his interest in media and communication. Digital marketing, according to him, felt like the most practical and organic entry point into the film world, combining creativity with strategy.
One of the highlights of his career was handling Kerala PRO responsibilities for the Tamil film Amaran, which also became his first non-Malayalam project. This opportunity came after his work on Manjummel Boys, through industry connections with RKFI. He also had the chance to work as a PRO for Kalamkaval, starring Mammootty an experience he considers especially meaningful, as it involved working for a film featuring his idol.
He describes the process as flexible and driven purely by passion. Being part of the Kerala PRO Association has also helped him stay connected within the industry and collaborate effectively with fellow PROs.
