Balaji was raised in north Chennai, where he was born. Completed education and earned a BCA from Sir Theagaraya College North Chennai. In 2024, he wed his long-term partner and school friend. She gave him a lot of encouragement during his film career.
He recalls that, when he was still in school, his first movie shot was a patchwork shoot. Payment for the first shoot was 75 rupees. Went through an agent, the production company’s cuisine was excellent, and it was then that he developed a love for movies and filming. As a junior artist, he has so far completed over 350 films, but he has only appeared in about 200 of them. He’s performing well right now in Tamil serials.
Balaji is currently performing supporting roles in movies and working in the media as a Chief Camera Man(pro) at Tamil Nadu today.He worked as a catering boy to begin his career. He encountered several challenges and learned a great deal from the film industry. He proceeded to rap on the doors of casting houses, directors, and auditions. He has directed a few short films. For him, his father is a solid rock. Balaji has ten years of total experience in the film industry.
His mentor is Director Jayaprakash, who is known as the assistant of the Superior Director, specially called “Iyakkunar Imayam,” Barathi Raja Sir. Jayapraksh is highly renowned for his writing of dialogue and scripts. He contributed to numerous Tamil films as a writer. Balaji was given the chance to play a strong role in his first movie through his mentor, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the movie was canceled. However, Balaji is still smiling and full of hope.
He works extremely hard, and he keeps up a decent physical appearance for his line of work. Directors and cinematographers are highly connected individuals when filming a movie. NatpeThunai,LKG movie (RJ Balaji) and Thudikkum Karangal (Vimal) are among his well-know films and in ZeeTamil-ReetaiRoja,Kannathil Muthamitaal,Sithiram Pasuthadi ,Marri in Vijay tv Pavam ganeshan in Sun tv Kaayal are his well known Serials. He gave many younger people the opportunity to play supporting roles in motion pictures. Regarding side artists, they are responsible for all costs associated with their costumes and makeup.
