Blesson Thomas is a well-known music director, filmmaker, sound engineer, writer, and entrepreneur from Kannur, India. He holds a BA degree in Music and has had a deep interest in music from an early age. Growing up in a church environment, with his father serving as a church priest, played a crucial role in shaping his musical foundation. His early exposure to church music became the first step in his artistic journey.

Alongside music, Blesson developed a strong passion for direction and storytelling. He often structured storylines inspired by real-life events, a habit that later evolved into his distinctive filmmaking style. Years later, this passion earned him international recognition when his science fiction film Spyware won the Best Science Fiction Film Award at the Alternative Film Festival, Toronto, in 2021, making it the first film to achieve this accolade at the festival. Spyware was also shortlisted for several international film awards.

Expanding the universe of Spyware, he created two prequel short films—Locked in George and Burnt Offering—both of which received significant appreciation. He also directed the short film Thottotte, celebrated for its unique narrative style and cinematic approach.

Blesson is also a director of a company called Flac Studio Productions, where he showcases his creative works. He is currently involved in various media-related projects across different sectors and continues to expand his creative and entrepreneurial ventures.

Blesson began his professional music career by composing for television commercials and assisting various musicians and composers. His first major opportunity came while assisting on a film project, where an associate offered him the chance to work as a keyboard programmer for a song. Although the project was never released, the experience boosted his confidence and helped shape his career. He later composed several independent singles.

He subsequently had the opportunity to work as a music director for the horror film L, where his music and background score blended seamlessly with the film’s atmosphere. Although L was his first project as a music director, it was released after Kunddala Puranam, a comedy-drama film that went on to become a commercial success.

Blesson Thomas’s dedication, versatility, and determination clearly reflect his commitment to his craft. His journey strongly suggests that he is poised to reach even greater heights in the years to come.
