Dev Prakash Regan – Music Director
Dev Prakash Regan is an emerging music director hailing from Thanjavur, a city known for its rich cultural heritage. Born into a family where music runs deep, Dev Prakash Regan was surrounded by talented singers from a young age. His passion for music truly blossomed during his college days, where he stood out for his singing talent. Initially aspiring to become a playback singer, he began learning the guitar and composed music for a short film, which marked his first step into the world of music creation.
Realizing that music was his true calling, Dev Prakash Regan moved to Chennai to pursue a career in the field. He enrolled at Sound Tech Media, where he studied sound engineering, further honing his technical and creative skills. As a hobby, he often recorded his compositions on his mobile phone, one of which turned out to be a game-changer.
He composed a song titled “Kanama Ennama”, which he shared with Director Britto (Niram Maarum Ulagil). Through this connection, he met actor Rio Raj, and together they brought the song to life. “Kanama Ennama” became a viral hit, giving Dev Prakash Regan his first big break and opening doors to the big screen.
His official debut as a music director came with the Anthology film “Niram Marum Ulagil”, a project that posed several challenges but also offered immense learning. The film’s music received positive recognition and helped Dev Prakash Regan establish a name for himself in the Tamil Cinema industry.
