Why is Ghilli always Ghilli? Here are the five Reasons.

Thalapathy Vijay’s first highest grosser movie.

First Tamil film to gross fifty crores.

A landmark film for Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha, and Prakash raj

Till now, the music and songs of the movie have had the same vibe since it was released.

The start of the Ghilli movie was fabulous. The energetic performance of actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay and the fiery background score by Vidyasagar add more power to the movie till the end.

That was the peak time for actor Vijay and actress Trisha, when Ghilli released Trisha at 21 and Vijay at 29.  The young blood was perfectly balanced and can be seen in the film. Throughout the film, there are lots of running and chasing scenes, which make the audience wild.

Actor Prakash raj plays Muthupandi; what a characterization. He is the main pillar of the movie Ghilli. The main Villain of Grand City Madurai is the son of the minister of the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. Muthupandi killed everyone who was against him, because of his ultimate love, always roaming behind Dhanalakshmi, calling her “chellow  chellow”.

When Muthupanndi knows Saravana Velu ( Actor Vijay ) kidnapped Trishaa from him, His dialogues are still make us laugh a lot.

“Please take me from 1 crore, i will earn it, Please take 1 kg gold from me, I will buy it again. But Dhanalakshmi is my heart, she is my darling, I love you, Dhanalakshmi. She is my god.”

These kinds of dialogues with that extraordinary body language Prakshraj sir can only do; none of the others can’t.

Definitely, we don’t know when the movie started or when we reached the interval. In that song, “Ajunaru villu Arichandran sollu song,” while Vijay and Trisha are flying in the jeep, there is no doubt that the audience also flies in the sky. As a father and a cop, Aashishi Vidyarth Performance was unique and stylish.

The extra ordinary performances of Saravanavelu’s mother, and Sister Bhuvana. These are adding more beauty to the movie. The hero will win, and in the end, the villain will lose. This is the formula of cinema at that time, but in the same formula, the director tied up the audience in theatre by his extraordinary making. Anyhow, after 20 years of rerelease since the same vibe for the Ghilli movie Proves, Definitely, it’s a cult classic.

Since it’s a remake of the Telugu movie, Director Dharani made a lot of changes in the Tamil version. That’s why the movie worked out well in Kollywood. Dharani is a master at catching audience pulse.
