ACTOR TSK
TSK is a popular comedian, television personality, and actor who rose to fame through Vijay TVʼs “Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru” “KPY”. Known for his witty humor, impeccable comic timing, and engaging stage presence, he has become a recognized name in the Tamil entertainment industry.
TSK was born and brought up in Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), Nadu. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration “BBA” from St. Joseph’s College, Tirchy. His schooling was at ARK Matriculation School, near Kallanai, where his passion for mimicry and comedy began. His school and college played a significant role in shaping his career. His teachers and friends recognized his exceptional talent in mimicry and stand-up comedy, encouraging him to participate in various cultural events and competitions. During his college years, he won numerous titles and trophies, building a strong foundation for his future in the entertainment industry.
After completing his studies, TSK moved to Chennai to pursue his dream of working in the film and television industry. He has participated in several Tamil reality shows, earning recognition for his talent. He won his first reality show title in 2007 on Jaya TV for the program “Unga Area Ulla Vaanga” during his college days. His first television appearance was on Jaya TV, marking the beginning of his journey in Tamil entertainment. Later that year, he got an opportunity to perform in Sun TVʼs “Asathapovadhu Yaaru”, further enhancing his popularity.
By 2010, TSK participated in “Deal Ah No Deal Ah”, a game show that gave him significant exposure. His performance in a particular episode became highly popular, leading to a high TRP (Television Rating Points) for the show. This breakthrough moment helped him gain public recognition, and offers started pouring in. Despite receiving film opportunities, TSK decided to take a break from his postgraduate studies to focus on his television career. He became a video jockey “VJ” for Adithya TV, a comedy channel, where he worked for seven years.
During this period, he also got an opportunity to participate in Vijay TVʼs “Kings of Comedy”. He acknowledges Erode Mahesh as his mentor, who helped him develop his onscreen presence and comic skills. His long-time friend and colleague, Azar, from Adithya TV, joined him as his performance partner. The duo worked tirelessly for six to seven months without any salary, dedicating themselves to winning the title. Despite facing controversies and challenges, their hard work paid off when they won the KPY Season 7 title, receiving the award from actor STR (Silambarasan). TSK has won a total of four reality show titles on Vijay TV, solidifying his reputation as one of the most successful comedians in Tamil television.
TSKʼs Kollywood journey began with his debut film “Mahaan Kanakku” “2011”. Though he received multiple film offers, he struggled to make a breakthrough in the industry. One of the most significant films in his career was “Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai”, where he learned a lot about Tamil cinema and the workings of the film industry. Over the years, he has acted in 18 Tamil movies. He gained major recognition through the film “Petromax”, which helped him establish himself as a comedian in Tamil cinema. However, his career-defining moment came with the film “Lubber Pandhu”, where he played an antagonist role for the first time. This role was a turning point as audiences and critics praised his acting range beyond comedy. The film also earned him appreciation from top celebrities in the industry.
Following the success of “Lubber Pandhu”, TSK started receiving offers from other film industries.
He is currently working on a Malayalam movie “Vilayath Buddha” with actor Prithviraj directed by Jayan Nambiyar, marking his entry into the Malayalam film industry. Understanding the importance of versatile roles, he has become selective about his film choices. Instead of limiting himself to comedy roles, he is now exploring different genres and characters.
TSK has several exciting projects lined up: “Bomb” Starring alongside Arjun Das, Directed by “Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal” Vishal Venkat, where he plays a positive character,
