Rajesh Murugesan is a celebrated Indian music director best known for delivering one of the finest music albums of 2015 through the blockbuster Malayalam movie Premam. Born in Nagercoil and raised in Kochi, Rajesh developed an early fascination for music.
During his school days, he began experimenting by remixing songs, which sparked a deeper passion and curiosity toward music creation. Determined to explore the craft, he later moved to Chennai and joined an audio engineering program. Surrounded by musician friends and mentors, he continued learning, experimenting, and shaping his sound. He also worked on short films and advertisements, which helped him gradually build a strong presence in the industry.
Rajesh’s official breakthrough came with Alphonse Puthren’s movie Neram. The soundtrack, especially the soulful track “Kaatru Veesum”, received immense appreciation.
